Terms for experts and companies on BioProfile
This is a first version of these terms. BioProfile can change them, and will say so on this page when it does.
These terms describe what an expert account and a company account on BioProfile cost, what BioProfile does for you, what you do for your clients, and how money that runs through the platform is split and paid.
Your account
- An expert account and the company account that is made with it are free, and stay free.
- One account gives you two places: the expert place where you work with your clients, and the company place where you manage the company and the people in it.
- BioProfile reviews a new expert profile before it appears in the expert directory. You can work with your own clients from the first day, whether or not the profile is shown.
- You choose whether you want to receive clients from BioProfile. You can switch that off and on whenever you like, and switching it off never moves a client you already have.
- You may keep your profile out of the directory and use BioProfile only to guide the clients you bring yourself.
Your own clients
- The clients you bring yourself are yours. BioProfile takes no commission on them, and the software you use with them is free.
- You add your own clients by e-mail. Each one gets an account and is asked to do the health scan; nothing is sold to them in your name.
- A client has one expert. If a client of yours should move to somebody else, BioProfile support does that on request.
Clients BioProfile sends you
- When BioProfile sells a plan or a package and the client has not chosen an expert, BioProfile can connect that client to an expert who is available for it.
- BioProfile keeps a share of what it sells itself. The share is set per sales channel and is shown to you in your company place before anything is paid.
- A client who picks you in the expert directory is a sale through the directory, with its own share.
Reviewing a plan
- The software prepares an advice plan from a client’s own answers and results. You review it, change what should change, and confirm it. Nothing goes to a client with your name on it until you confirm.
- A plan you review for a client BioProfile sold to is paid per reviewed plan. The amount is a setting, EUR 15 at the time of writing, and BioProfile can change it.
- A review has a term. If a plan on your to-do is not confirmed within that term, BioProfile reminds you, and after the extra working days in the setting the client goes back to BioProfile and another expert is asked.
Lab tests and supplements
- You receive a commission on lab tests and supplements sold through you. The percentage is set per product and is shown with the product.
- A lab test is ordered and handled by the laboratory that carries it. BioProfile passes the result on and never changes it.
- You are responsible for what you advise a client to do with a result.
Payment
- BioProfile collects the money for what is sold through the platform and pays your share out.
- What you have earned is shown in your company place, per calendar month, with what was sold and what you receive.
- BioProfile issues the invoice for your share on your behalf, from the company details and the bank account you fill in yourself. Nothing is paid until those are filled in.
- You are responsible for your own tax on what you receive.
What BioProfile is not
BioProfile does not diagnose. It is a tool for people who already help clients with their health, and it never replaces a doctor.
- You keep your own professional responsibility for the advice you give and for the client relationship you have.
- A title such as doctor is only shown on BioProfile after BioProfile has seen a document that supports it.
Your clients’ data
- A client’s answers, results and plan belong to that client. You see them because that client is connected to you.
- You use what you see for that client only, and never for anything else.
- A client can ask BioProfile to remove an account and everything in it.
Ending it
- You can stop at any moment. Your clients keep the plans they already have.
- BioProfile can take a profile out of the directory, and can close an account that breaks these terms.
- What was already earned is still paid out.
