BioProfile maps your health with a free three minute scan, and shows where change pays off most for you today. After that you know what to do first.
Free. Three minutes. An analysis of your answers, never a diagnosis.

In the Netherlands you live to a little over eighty on average. That is the first number, and you know it.
The second number is how many of those years you still genuinely feel good. On average that stops at around sixty-two.
Between the two lie seventeen to twenty one years. About a quarter of your life.
That gap does not appear on the day something goes wrong. It builds up quietly in exactly the years when nothing seems broken yet. We call that the quiet decade.
Two numbers, one life
This is how long you live on average
This is how long you feel good on average
Source: CBS, 2024 figures. Life expectancy at birth 80.5 years for men and 83.3 for women (table 37360ned). Healthy life expectancy 63.5 for men and 62.0 for women (table 84842NED).

You recognise it in the small things you accepted long ago. You wake up and you are not rested. You need time, and coffee, before you can think clearly. Your afternoon has a dip. A bloated feeling. A ring around your waist. Less desire, for all kinds of things.
You joke about it. We all get older.
Now read that gap once more. If something builds up over twenty years, then for twenty years there is also a moment when you can still do something about it. The silent decade is not a sentence. It is an open door. And an average is not a law of nature.
Most people start the other way around. They read a piece of advice, it sounds logical, and they go and do it.
That advice is written for the average person. You are not average. That is why the same advice works for one person and not for another, and nobody knows exactly why.
There should always be one step before it: knowing where you stand today.
We have made that step free.
A BioProfile scan is a few questions about the past weeks, modelled on validated instruments, and it takes about three minutes. There are eleven of them: sleep, energy, stress, brain, gut, hormones, heart, recovery, metabolism, healthy ageing and general wellbeing.
Eleven areas, each with a score from 0 to 100. Together one picture of where you stand now.
One score across the whole picture: all eleven areas together, in one number.
These are example values. Your own scores come from your own scan.
What you get back is in your analysis in the app. Your score from 0 to 100 with the reading band alongside it. Per question, what pulled your score up or down. Your profiles side by side, and the three points where change gives you the most.
If you want it sharper, you complete the full scan. Ten to fifteen minutes, also free.
An analysis of your answers. Never a diagnosis.

The fifteen books by Jesse van der Velde in a stack.
I am Jesse van der Velde. I started out in 2006 as a personal trainer and have been guiding people online since 2009. Since my first book, Forever Young, in 2012 I have written fifteen books, or been a co-author. Forever Young and Superfood Recipes became number 1 bestsellers in the Netherlands.
Those 15,000 scans were more extensive than the scan of today. People filled in a long questionnaire and left with a plan that was built around them. Several thousand of them we then guided personally.
And then we stopped. We were too small, we were doing too many things at once, and we were too far ahead of our time. That is the honest reason.
In 2014 I had something measured that most people never have measured. I had my telomeres measured, the protective ends of your chromosomes. Shorter telomeres go with an older, more worn body. In 2009 their discovery was awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine.
In 2014 my telomere length was 9.17. In 2016 I did the measurement again. It was 11.9 by then. They had grown longer, while the science at that moment still thought that was not possible.
I want to be honest about that. Telomeres are a marker, not a report card for your health, and the margin of error on a measurement like that is large. But until 2016 this was a nice theory to me, and after that it was not. I had seen it happen in my own cells.
That is why I picked this work up again. What we wanted to build back then is possible now. We are building BioProfile again, step by step, together with you. And it always starts in the same place: knowing where you stand now.
